Director of Institutional Research and Assessment


Steven Graunke, M.A. is the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Steven has conducted over 20 workshops and presentations at local and national conferences, including presentations on the design and implementation of survey results in a higher education setting. He has served as a reviewer for the Journal of College Student Development Research in Brief, the National Symposium on Student Retention, and in several capacities for the Association for Institutional Research.

Steven has also been extremely active in local professional organizations, including serving as President of the Indiana Association for Institutional Research and as Chair of 2013 Indiana Association for Institutional Research Annual Conference. As part of his role at IUPUI, Steven has assisted numerous academic departments as part of the regular program review process and regularly reviews and provides feedback on program review reports as part of the Program Review and Assessment Committee. Steven is currently a doctoral student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at Indiana University and was named a Fellow in Institutional Research from the Association for Institutional Research and the National Center for Education Statistics in 2009. He received his Masters’ degree in Counseling from Ball State University and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Butler University.
