Council on Retention and Graduation

When the Council on Retention and Graduation (CRG) was formed in 2004, it was charged with examining current activities, researching best practices, and developing plans to improve the retention and graduation rates of IUPUI students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. The CRG’s efforts build on earlier work by the Doubling the Numbers Task Force, the Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year Task Force, the work of University College, and the IUPUI Academic Plan.

Currently, the Council on Retention and Graduation includes broad cross-representation of faculty and staff from academic units; the Division of Student Affairs; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Division of Enrollment Management; University Information Technology Services; and the Office of Student Data, Analysis, and Evaluation. The CRG meets once per semester and the CRG Steering Committee meets monthly to review data and to engage in strategic planning regarding student success and on-time degree completion.
