Institutional Research and Decision Support

Student Analytics Reports

The purpose of the new student data reporting initiative is to provide accurate and timely information to support strategic planning decisions related to student success, learning, enrollment management, and more. This initiative consists of a set of technologies and processes that help decision makers use data to understand and to analyze institutional performance and to enable data-supported decision making.

Reports are divided into the following six broad categories:

  • Enrollment
  • Credit Hours
  • FTE
  • Financial Aid
  • Persistence and Graduation
  • Degrees

This IUPUI Student Analytics Business Intelligence (BI) initiative is a collaborative effort involving Institutional Research and Decision Support (IRDS)  and the University Information and Technology Services (UITS). BI in the context of this initiative means the applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data about our students to help IUPUI faculty, staff, and administrators make better decisions to improve student learning and success.
