IRDS conducts a number of campus-wide surveys focused on students, faculty, and staff. We administer a number of surveys throughout the life course of a student to better understand student success, including the Entering Student Survey (ESS), the Mentor Intake Survey, and the Transition to the Major Survey. We also collect information from graduate students and alumni and participate in NSSE to better understand student experiences at IUPUI. IRDS also administers surveys focused on faculty and staff and the campus climate for diversity. IRDS also coordinates the JagsSpeak Surveys – brief surveys focused on topics related to the strategic plan or other campus initiatives. Previous topics have included Campus Welcoming Initiative, Campus Safety, and Library Usage.
In addition to conducting survey research for institutional and program level improvement, IRDS helps coordinate campus wide surveys through the IUPUI Survey Policy. If you would like more information regarding IUPUI Surveys, contact Anne Mitchell, Director of Survey Research and Evaluation at firstname.lastname@example.org.
